Lone Star Fall 2012 ADN Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I applied to Lone Star - ADN program Spring 2012. I was accepted as an alternate. I am hoping to get a call from the nursing department saying there is a spot for me. If not I will be reapplying for the next application period for entrance to the program in the Fall 2012. Good luck everyone!!!!

@Elco Are you loggin in under Basic Track? On Jan. 18 when I originally submitted my application online there were only two campus choices. About a week later I looked again and there were four campus choices, so I ended up resubmitting my application as well as resubmitting a hard copy to my first choice campus. You should have four campus choices, the only campus not accepting applications this period is Kingwood.

As far as the HESI goes it is not a hard test, so long as you study for it. The study guide from Evolve is the best for the reading and math components. As far as the A&P component, I recommend studying CliffQuickReview A&P.

@Elco I just logged in to review the application and there are still four campus choices available. Double check it, it is working fine for me. Login under Nursing Basic Track then choose your first choice campus. Once you are in the application you should see Campus choice 1, campus choice 2, campus choice 3, and campus choice 4. You have to click on the down arrow to expand the field and highlight the campus you want, in the order you want them. The choices are at the top of the page where the application begins, under some RED statement about choosing a campus you would consider attending.

There is another forum regarding the Lone Star Fall 2012 ADN application period under the title Fall 2012 hopefuls lsc. I am not sure how successful it will become, I believe most people would search for Lonestar or Lone Star, not lsc.

I am still counting down the days. There are 14 more days for the HESI to be taken, and 19 days left for applications to be submitted!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE :yelclap:

Only 12 business days left to submit an application to Lone Star for their ADN program the begins next semester and that leaves only 7 days for students to take the HESI. Those letters will be out before you know it. I wish it were already April so I know which direction my life is going next!

Taking my HESI Thursday...any last minute advice? :uhoh3:

Hello all! I was accepted to the Spring 2012 program at North Harris with a score of 11.62 but was unable to start due to a background check issue. But that is resolved now. It was dumb because the case was actually dismissed so it should not have been an issue at all. Oh well. So I have reapplied to North Harris and Montgomery for the Fall. I retook the HESI so now my score is 11.81. I don't know which school I want as my first choice as of yet since right now I live near North Harris but we might be moving to Conroe so Montgomery would be closer. Good luck everyone!

@swweetipie

You have a great score, so I know you will not be loosing any sleep worrying about getting in.

Thanks! Lonestar is actually my back up. I also applied to UTHSC and TWU. Either way I hope to start one program in the fall.

Hi Ladies,

I have also applied with a 11.14 with north harris being my first choice. Hopefully we all get in and I get to meet some of you!

@ sweetiepie

Did you have to do a declatory form? If so how long did it take to get your approval? I had to send one due to something that happened to me 13 years ago. I won't go into details but it was a misdemeanor.
