  1. Oh I meant the RN program at Lone Star. Haha sorry.
  2. Are summer classes typically part of the program?
  3. The director at Tomball said no wedges because some facilities did not allow them..not sure if shape-ups would be considered a "wedge" or not. I would certainly ask first! I decided to get SAS shoes (yeah, I know) because I know they're appropriate and really comfortable. nursemates.com has options in that price range. Good luck and post what you decide to get!
  4. Thank you! My friend is a transition student and her first class is Thursday and she is baffled as to why she has not had a reading assignment yet. /:
  5. Yeah I bought all of the books. Yeah we didn't get any assignment that I know of...and I have not received any email either. I feel that she definitely left some things out in the orientation. She seemed to think we were running over time because the clock was an hour ahead hahaha. I'm sure any amount of reading will be to your advantage though. I'm more worried about my pharm class right now so I haven't done more than flip through my new books. Where did you find past syllabi?
  6. First I've heard of this...thanks for sharing!
  7. I don't know how much the books are at the bookstore but I highly suggest ordering them from lww.com and using that 20% discount code. It's a really good discount - 20% off EACH item. Ps- the "packages" are listed as "out of stock" but that is only because they are packages and need to be put together before being shipped.
  8. That depends which section you are scheduled for. Mine starts 8/6 but the other session is before that.
  9. Is anyone taking Pharmacology (class #5849 section 1001)? It's the one that's located on Red Oak in the health professions building Tuesday/Thursday at 10 am. I am wondering if there is supposed to be a "lab" attached to that? Under class time it says 10 am - 1:40 pm but under class notes it says the class meets from 10 am - 3:15. I just wondered if something was missing...thanks!
  10. Thanks for letting me know! At tomball our schedules are all planned out like that as well but pharm isn't part of our program per se, we just have to have it completed before end of nursing I.
  11. Thank you for all of that info. I wasn't sure if I needed to hurry and go register or if I had some time. Since our schedules are already planned out i guess theres no rush for "good spots" hahah. I'm ordering all of my books from lww.com that i possibly can because that 20% discount is a lot. I added up a shopping cart and it's discounting each item. I recommend you should all do that! I'm going to try on scrubs today since I'll be in humble and the humble store has a sale ending today. Looks like my summer class is 3004. Looks like that's the noon class..yes. I guess that means my only option for taking pharm before the fall is an awful sounding class in cyfair or a more fair sounding class at NH. Anyone taking Pharm there, section 1002?
  12. Is advising open Friday for registration? Does it matter how early we go anyway? I understood our whole schedules (such as times) are already planned out for us individually?
  13. Seems like I'll be taking pharm in the fall too /: oops.
  14. How do you register for clinical locations? or add them to my cart anyway...I can't register yet.
  15. Are you guys hanging on to all of your paperwork until orientation or have you already turned it in? Also do they want our actual blue card or just a copy?
