Lone Star Fall 2012 ADN Applicants

I applied to Lone Star - ADN program Spring 2012. I was accepted as an alternate. I am hoping to get a call from the nursing department saying there is a spot for me. If not I will be reapplying for the next application period for entrance to the program in the Fall 2012. Good luck everyone!!!!

If you have a D.O. that is all you need. The only thing that would get in your way is if you have been in trouble for anything after you filed the D.O. You should be set. Have you received your blue card?

Nothing on my record since that one issue from way back. Have not received a blue card yet tho.

She said my DO that was filed last year with the BON will work for this year. As for the blue card, she's not sure if I'll receive a blue card or not, but as long as I email the letter the BON gave me I should be fine. I sure hope so.

*Hi everyone! I am Kristi and I was excepted to Tomball! I am sooo excited. :) I have a question about the background check I plan on calling tomorrow but though I would get ya'll answers from experience. It says if you have any criminal history.... Does that include a speeding ticket? I wouldn't think speeding is criminal but I did go to court over it.

Also I have a question about the physical.... Do we have to do the genital part? The office I went to said they dont do that. Said I have to go to my OB/GYN and get a pap smear. Does anyone know if that is the case?

I went ahead and did my physical with Walgreens and they didn't do the genital either. My friend is at the Montgomery Nursing program and she said that she didn't have it either...

Yeah I also went to Walgreens. THE ADULT PHYSICAL FOR $39 IS ONLY TILL FIRDAY!!! WHO EVER NEEDS ONE SHOULD GO BEFORE THEN BC AFTER FRIDAY IT IS $60. The lady that did my physical said they most likely wont need that. I hope not bc a visit to the gyn is expensive.

I went to Walgreens today the receptionist told me that the physical exam was $69 if you are over 19. Please tell me what location you went to PLEASE!!! I have already shelled out over $250 in vaccines.

I cant believe NH hasn't recieved their letters yet. I am sure you got in. I just looked at the score chart and your score is good. I only had a 11.1 and got into Tomball.

I went to the walgreens on 1314 in Porter. The lady said it was only for students under 18 but then she called some main office and they said all student/adults till friday. I would call that clinic and ask who she talked to if Porter is to far. Then have your take care clinic call.
