Hello! My name is Jocelyn and I’ve been an LVN for almost three years. I just applied for the Transition program today, with the hopes of being accepted into North Harris. My choices in order are: North Harris, Tomball, and Montgomery. My score is low (7.032) because I made a C in English and I just don’t want to retake it LOL. I just pray that it’ll be enough.
Good luck to everyone!
Hi Everyone,?
Hi Jocelyn, Simply, and Howdy! ?
It is so amazing how it is applications time!! I really hope we all get into our choice program and campus.
As for updates: I passed the HESI A2 on 03/4 at Cypress. The Critical Thinking score was 940 and the HESI average was 92%. I made mistakes on the Reading Comprehension. My Total Points is 7.68 and I submitted my applications for the Transition Program already. My first choice is North Harris (40 mins drive) and then Kingwood (47 mins drive). Currently I am taking Microbiology and Anatomy Physiology II.
Howdy, can you give some insight into how to do well in the program and juggle working? Also, could you tell us about your class schedule? What can we expect coming into June? I have more questions.... but for now, this is what is on my mind. Thanks for coming back to check on the next cohort! ?
Hi Lovetosmile!
That is an awesome score. You should for sure make it in without a shadow of a doubt. I have to retake Medical Microbiology, but I probably won’t do that until the first semester of the program (if I make it in LOL). It seems like April is so far away, but it’s really just around the corner. Can’t wait to see if we all get accepted. ?

Hello Everyone,
I was searching to see if anyone started a blog LOL. I'm applying to the transition program at North Harris (first choice) I will apply cutting it close, I'm taking my LVN NCLEX Monday the week of the program closing the application period. I'm uploading my quick results. And just took the HESI early march. It's been a super busy month! Praying to pass NCLEX and accepted into the program. Good luck to you all!
Hello!! Good luck on your NCLEX! I’m sure you will be fine! Your info should be updated on the BON website by Wednesday, it normally takes two business days. But I wouldn’t upload my quick results to your application. Whenever you go to check the BON website, click on the verification section. Take a screenshot of the page showing your name and expiration date. My friend received an email from NH saying she uploaded the wrong form. She uploaded her certificate. And I know for Tomball they wanted something with your license # and expiration date on the same page. After your info is posted on the BON you can’t print your certificate until 48 hours AFTER they info is updated on the website. They mail you a letter after you pass, it takes about a week to come in. I would call the BON maybe Wednesday to see if they can give you your license number sooner so that you can apply. I hope this was helpful!!
Yes this was very helpful! Do you know how many transition student NH takes?

Do you all think they will extend application deadlines because of the Corona virus
Ooh I hope not I'm ready to start! LOL
Hey everybody!
Allywat: many prayers and the best of luck to you on NCLEX! Have you completed any reviews to prepare for it? Also, I think North Harris takes between 40 and 50 Transition students, but I could most definitely be wrong. I know I saw someone post about the number of students from the previous application periods, but I can’t quite remember the number they posted.
Jazzmyn: I know the email I received when I submitted my application said to periodically check your student email for any updates they may send out. I think we should be fine though. Let’s just pray there’s no holdup with them processing our applications, cause we need to know if we got accepted ASAP. LOL.
