I also applied for the lvn program at montgomery,I sent an e-mail to steven today he is the guy at the nursing department getting the applications, and he told me that there were 113 applicants this year just for the lvn program. That is alot of people trying to get in I have a 6.7. I hope that is high enough. I guess we will find out at the end of this month:confused:
OMG your kidding me. Well like I said, If I would have made an A in the intro AP if would have a total of 7.5, so this really sucks. I am 23 btw, so I am just really wanting to get into this program to start my career before I get older you no. I have been taking college courses for 4 years and I am so ready to have something to so for it. Letters go out this month, so we will see. I will post again as soon as I recieve my letter!!
Hi the higher the score means you get your first choice of which school you want to go to.If 2 schools have the same application period for lvn you should apply for both. You could get in but not with your first choice but at least you will get in.I went to an information session at Montgomery college July 09.I'm going to apply for lvn program also, but at Kingwood and Cyfair.I made a A in intro to AP,and I'm studying the Evolve reach book for the Hesi.Is the Hesi test hard?I get nervous when I take timed tests.
HI, The HESI test at LONE STAR is NOT timed. We were only required to take the math and reading sections as well. The math is pretty simple, lots of fractions - adding, dividing, multi, ect. Then of course the reading is like every other reading section - read a story and answer questions. good luck!
You really only need to no the ones that the evolve HESI study guide shows you. I made flash cards and put everything in order from the highest amount to the lowest. When it came time for my math section on the Hesi, the first thing I did was write down my conversions on the scratch paper. Then when it came time for me to answer a question on conversions all I had to do was look over at my table I made. Helped out a lot. :)

Hi, I am applying to the LVN program in May at Lone Star Montgomery. I has taken my HESI and score a 96 in math and an 80.43 in reading, those are the only 2 subjects required. The point scale is 8 being the highest. 4 points come from AP which I have a B, so I get 3 points, and the other points are your combined HESI score divided by 50, which means I get 3.5286 exact! So my overall score is a 6.5286 or 6.53. Do you think this is high enough to get in? I would like to hear from past students who have applied and were excepted. thank you so much for all your help.
