  1. Ya, well I got my denial letter weeks ago, how do you know if you were an alternate for the LVN program? would my letter have said so?
  2. WOW congrats!! Well its Thrusday and I still haven't received anything in the mail. I guess I'll wait til Friday and then call the college to varify my address. I just have to ask, you did apply for the Lone Star Montgomery College in The Woodlands Tx, correct? lol..just had to double check.! Congrats again!!
  3. wow, my heart skipped a beat after I read this. I am soo nervous. Its Tuesday and I still haven't recieved anything. hopefully tomorrow is the day. keep me posted when you get accepted:).
  4. If you read on one of my other posts, a member told me the letter where sent out last friday. so we should be receiving letter any day now. I believe there are 24 spots in the LVN program at lsc-montgomery. did you apply this year? what did you points add up to?
  5. You really only need to no the ones that the evolve HESI study guide shows you. I made flash cards and put everything in order from the highest amount to the lowest. When it came time for my math section on the Hesi, the first thing I did was write down my conversions on the scratch paper. Then when it came time for me to answer a question on conversions all I had to do was look over at my table I made. Helped out a lot. :)
  6. its a basic calculator. It mult. divides. subtracts. adds. thats all, just your basics!! no need to worry though, cause thats all you will need to do for the HESI math sections, I took it a few weeks ago, got a 96 in the math section. very easy. make sure to study your metric convertion table though, there are a few questions about converting milliliters to liters and such.
  7. :DHi, I was just wondering if anyone knew when the letters where to be sent out for the nursing program. Has anyone received their letter yet? thanks!
  8. I am sure if you just look put together you will be fine. Clean face/hair/clothes/smell good. The health field isnt really known for being in suit attire.
  9. HI, The HESI test at LONE STAR is NOT timed. We were only required to take the math and reading sections as well. The math is pretty simple, lots of fractions - adding, dividing, multi, ect. Then of course the reading is like every other reading section - read a story and answer questions. good luck!
  10. OMG your kidding me. Well like I said, If I would have made an A in the intro AP if would have a total of 7.5, so this really sucks. I am 23 btw, so I am just really wanting to get into this program to start my career before I get older you no. I have been taking college courses for 4 years and I am so ready to have something to so for it. Letters go out this month, so we will see. I will post again as soon as I recieve my letter!!
  11. WOW 113, hopefully they are applying to the RN as well. That is a lot of people. I feel now. only time will tell, post when you get your letter :)
  12. So I applied yesterday for the LVN program at Lone Star College. I have a total points of 6.528 out of a possible 8, anyways it would be nice to hear from people with similar scores and if you no of people who were accepted with a score of 6.5? Thanks!
  13. Well I feel a little better after seeing the last post. I have tried so hard to get my grades up. So maybe Ill get in with a 6.5...I really really hope so. It sucks because if only I would have made an A in AP I would be up to a 7.5.
  14. I was told anything above 7 is a for sure. I have a total of 6.5 and I am the one that should be worried, you WILL make. Does anyone no if a 6.5 has ever gotten in. my B in AP is what brought me down a point.
  15. Hi, I am applying to the LVN program in May at Lone Star Montgomery. I has taken my HESI and score a 96 in math and an 80.43 in reading, those are the only 2 subjects required. The point scale is 8 being the highest. 4 points come from AP which I have a B, so I get 3 points, and the other points are your combined HESI score divided by 50, which means I get 3.5286 exact! So my overall score is a 6.5286 or 6.53. Do you think this is high enough to get in? I would like to hear from past students who have applied and were excepted. thank you so much for all your help.
