Lone Star College LVN hopefuls Fall 2019

Wondering who all applied to the LVN program with Lone Star College for Montgomery and Kingwood for this coming Fall 2019. I got tired of waiting on an alternate letter or rejection letter for the ADN program for M, T, CF, and NH. I wonder if they were waiting to submit letters just to see if we weeded ourselves out by applying to a different program. I was going to apply for the CF, K ADN program on June 3rd along with the LVN program but I was told we couldn’t apply to more than one at a a time.

You cant apply to LVN then just drop your spot if you got accepted into CF or K ADN program?

You have to have either taken 2404 which is the combination of the two A&P’s or take both A&P I and A&P II. Luckily I took both already and got A’s in them. I also took Pharmacology already too which helps out where I don’t have to take as many courses during the program. I’m taking Nutrition this summer too.

I am not sure how many spots are available for the LVN programs.

I was told by one of the Nursing Directors at Montgomery that you can not apply to two different programs. If you applied for the ADN and was put on the alternates list or wanted to wait to see if you get in to another location you can not apply to the LVN. If you applied for the LVN you just forfeit you spot with the ADN program.

That's odd. I've seen a couple people in the ADN thread who applied to the LVN program and also the ADN program and were just waiting to see if they got into ADN to go ahead and decline their spot on LVN. And those who didn't get into the ADN just stayed in the LVN program they already got accepted into.

I just called both Montgomery and Kingwood. They are only accepting 20 people each plus alternates. They couldn’t tell me how many alternates they are taking though. They also said that they will notify everyone at the beginning of June.

Whew thats a small group! Yea I got a late May early June response from M. I'm just going to go with early June.
