Lone Star College Fall 2016 hopefulls?

Published

Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!

I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol

How about yall?!

My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!

And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!

Online pharm with kingwood is a breeze. I took mine while taking A&P and didn't have any problems at all managing both with an "A". I wouldn't have a problem taking it online during the nursing program if I had to. It's doable.

Who did you take? Do you remember?

Specializes in ER.

There are two professors who run the the classes but the syllabus and material is the exact same. I got Professor Jerls; very nice, easy going lady.

Thank you im looking into it now

Hello all, congratulations on those that got into LVN- RN programs. Just wanted to know how your first semenster went? Were classes in afternoon? How were tests? Did alot of people flunk out ???

Im looking into Kingwood & NH locations.

Thanks!

It's a good program. Classes are M& T from 5:00 to 7:20 pm with one clinical day. Good luck to you!!

I got accepted into Montgomery and I have yet to hear anything in regards to the castle branch information. I already have my fingerprints and drug test set up. Just waiting to figure out what to do with castle branch..

What was your Hesi score?

Hi you guys!! I haven't been on here in awhile but to give a little insight on things. I applied for the program last year with a 6.89 and got accepted into North Harris. I passed all parts of the hesi with my scores being all B's. Not one A. So its possible to get in. I was on the alternate list, went to the information meeting, and the next day got the phone call that I got in. I'm now in nursing II (second semester). So don't give up hope if your not accepted at first. My best advise of course is to just do your best. If you want it, then bust your butt to get it. It is by no shape easy. If somebody suggest that it is THERE LYING!! lol but the work is do able. Just stay positive and try not to stress to hard. I'll try to stay on here more to answer any questions when I can. But good luck to everyone out there!! :)

Omg this post gives me hope! My score right now I'm applying with is 9.92 with an 87 overall on the hesi! Thanks for sharing!

@gg2melots how do you like the tomball nursing program?

I have applied to North Harris ADN fall 2017 program with a 6.91. How long after emails went out did it take you to get the alternate email? I'm getting so nervous bc emails are out and I haven't received anything yet.

Woohoo!!! I received my acceptance email to Montgomery!! I am over the moon! Congratulations to everyone who got in! For the ones that are still waiting..hang in there!

Good luck everyone
