Hey there!
I wanted to start this page for anyone who is applying for the Spring 2018 Lone Star ADN or LVN program! I've seen previous posts, from previous years, and everyone was really helpful and encouraging to one another.
I am taking A&P 1 over the summer (starts 7/13) and then I will be submitting my application!! Im so nervous. I already took the HESI and got a score on 90.8%, which gives me and 3.6 on the point scale. I have an A in Eng 1301 and hope to get an A in A&P this summer.
In the fall I am taking A&P2 along with Micro (ugh). So if anyone else is in the same boat, let me know!!!
Anyway, I look forward to hearing from everyone
Isnt the scoring for lvn tomball different then lvn? I seen on there scoring sheet for hesi u only take your emglish score snd divide by 25 is that correct? Trying to figure out my points. I have B in both anatomy 1&2
No, I just signed into the application and the scoring is the same; they will divide all of your Hesi scores by 25, not just the reading score.
Hey! I'm applying to the kingwood campus. I'm taking the HESI Monday and I'm super nervous. Does anyone have any tips on how to study for the Critical Thinking portion of the exam. I can't find any information on how to prepare for this section.
Hello! I applied for Kingwood as well. For the critical thinking, there's not much material for that, because it's meant to be about your instinct. Basically they give you a scenario and you pick the best answer, even though technically they are all correct. Do you have A's in your ENGL & AP?

Critical thinking is all about prioritization; which patient should you assist first when caring for multiple patients. It's mainly a common sense section; not really hard to figure out the wrong and right thing to do when it comes to caring for patients.

Tomball LVN program is open; I'll be applying to LVN, ADN, and BSN programs in the Spring to better my chances of getting in.
