Hi everyone! I wanted to go ahead and start a forum about this semester's application process for the Fall ADN program this year. I've been going berserk worrying about my score, I have to get in this Fall! I just retook my HESI, and increased my score by a wonderful 1% LOL, as of now I have a 7.696, which hopefully would be rounded up to 7.7? I'm not sure yet. I'm hoping to get into Cyfair, as its closest near my home. Post your experience or questions! I'd love to be in contact with other future ADN students!

Hi everyone!! I am so happy and relieved. I just got my acceptance email!! I freakedthe hell out! Everyone check your emails!! I wish you all the very best!! If anyone here got into Cyfair, please say so!! Would love to have a friend even before the program starts!

Hey!  I just got an email about being an alternate.  Has anyone else heard if they got accepted?

So follow up to my comments from earlier, for this Fall 2023, my application score was good enough for my first choice (Montgomery).

For everyone else that got letters regarding being an alternate:

The letters gave a deadline for people who got accepted to submit letter of intent by May 5th or they forfeit their spots. They also have to attend a mandatory orientation or else they also forfeit their spots.

When I was filling out my letter of intent form, it had an option for accepting Montgomery or Tomball (my second choice). So I'm going to guess I got tentatively accepted to both campuses. Refusing others and accepting Montgomery might have pushed someone on alternate list into the program.

 

So congrats to everyone who got in. To everyone that got listed as an alternate, hang in there!

I was accepted to Montgomery! 
 

A good amount of alternates will be called up!  Many people will miss deadlines or decline their spot. Don't lose hope!

Did everyone else get the email that the orientation is May 15th instead of May 1st?  Also, when do alternates find out if they got accepted? Is it after orientation?

Hey! From what I understand in our GroupMe, the email that said the 1st was a typo. It should have said the 15th all long. As far as being called up, I would bet they wait until after letter of intent is due. Ours is due May 5th. If we don't accept or decline by then, I think our offer expires and they start to call alternates. Same with orientation. If anyone misses orientation, our offer is removed. Again with not getting our blue card (deadline for our uploaded is mid-July). I've also heard they can call you as late as the week classes start! I would definitely get everything in order and just be ready. 
 

I can't positively confirm that. That's just what I have read on FB.

Hey, guys. If you got accepted to your first choice but applied to Kingwood for the Spring, be sure to let Kingwood know you're surrendering your spot soon! The letter of intent is due June 29th, but it would be great if Kingwood was able to let alternates know sooner than June. 
       

I know I'm at the top of the alternate list for Kingwood, so I'm relying on you guys LOL. I was also accepted to another program in the fall and I'd be great if I could let that program know I won't be attending before June. ??

I am alternative to kingwood for fall 2023. How do you know what number you are on the list? They usually don't tell us. That's what Valerie in the office told me from kingwood. How many alternatives do you think they pick? I hope I get to start.

Did you get in the program after being accepted as an alternative? I am on the same boat foe kingwood.
