Has anyone applied for Loma Linda's new grad program? I heard its starting next month but I have no idea if they even started interviewing people. I keep calling but no one is giving me an answer.
Yeah no problem. I was expecting it to be yet another essay! Whew! So did you guys do your preceptorships in peds? Are you from the LA area? What did you put as your top 3 units? So many questions, I know. Just curious :) I did my preceptorship in adult cardiac critical care but I love peds too. I put 1) acute care 2) cardiac/ organ transplant 3) intermediate icu. I live in norcal obviously lol. Good luck everyone!!
I graduate on Monday woohoo!
hey i applied today and didnt see an email to send my letters of rec or bls card. Are we supposed to send that now or if we get an email from them?
Well HR said for the recommendation letters you can scan a copy and email it to the address listed. For the BLS card, HR said that if you listed it down on the certifications part of the application, that should be enough. I would scan a copy and send it by email just in case though, at least that is what I am doing.
o okay thank you!! where was the email address listed?
when you first clicked apply online, it takes u to another page that says:

after your application materials have been reviewed, you will be notified as to whether or not you have been selected for formal interviewing. there are a limited number of positions in the program, so we recommend that you apply early. job offers are contingent upon the applicant clearing the pre-employment health screen and the background check.
all applicants must have a california rn license or interim permit (ip) at the time of hire, which is generally 1-2 weeks before program begins. applicants without either of these cannot be hired. applicants with ips must have a date for taking nclex that falls before the start of the residency.

I called HR to make sure my documents were emailed and received. The RN Recruiter said that we'd know in a couple of weeks because there were about 500+ people that applied and she has to go through each one to see which ones meet the requirements. And then she said that she'd send about 50 applicants to each unit manager and then go from there...so good luck everyone!

Ooh, thanks for the info! That makes me feel better, I didn't want to be missing any important documents! They shouldn't make that so confusing.
