I haven't seen any threads for the upcoming 49th cohort, so I wanted to start one (or if there is one already, please direct me to it). 

What unit are you guys applying for? 🙂

I contacted someone from HR regarding onboarding and was informed that they don't plan on scheduling people for appointments until after July 4th. I guess for now just make sure the documents on your journey tab are completed. Also does anyone know if there's a deadline to uploading the certifications?

They told me everything had to be uploaded by the time you go to your onboarding!

Oh, so how are we supposed to do the physical form then? 😅 there wasn't any form attached to it, so IDK what I'm supposed to upload in it..

 

 

also, what did you guys do for the meal waive form? Did you guys waive both your 6hr + 2nd meal ? I've been trying to ask all my friends about this cause I have no idea what it meant

did they mention if the appointments will begin this month or August? because I still haven't gotten one of my certs and the next class isn't available until next month 🫣

They contacted me last week and I set up a schedule in august! They said it's going to be between August 1 to August 29 so I think you're good! 🙂

I was told by others to waive the 2nd meal, but I've heard mixed things about the 6hr one.

You'll get the physical form when you go to your appointment for the physical and then you'll upload that. You have to do your physical first and then the onboarding is on a separate day!

so from what I'm understanding based on what others have told me

 

the 'second meal period' is essentially a second 30 min lunch break, and most people waive this 'second meal' because if you don't, then you would have to stay an additional 30 mins to make up the left over time if that makes sense. So if we're 7-7:30, you would need to stay till 8 (while everyone left) since you didn't waive the 'second' 30 min break so that you can have the full 12 hours. 

 

As for the 6 hour one, I'm still unsure about that.. I'm prob going to call HR or smth on Monday to ask about how long would we have to stay late if we didn't waive it.

just did my interview & it went really well! I had a panel of 5, and majority of the questions were behavioral type. 

What were some of the questions like that they asked you? I'm doing an interview with them soon and I'm so nervous LOL
