Loma Linda Children's Hospital 51st Cohort

Hi! I started this forum so we can keep each other updated on applications, interviews and stuff. What unit did you guys apply to? I applied to L&D and postpartum 😊

I'm just so annoyed bc I've been applying to so much and NO LUCK. I'm so discouraged and feel like I got my BSN for no reason

Same, I've applied everywhere & no luck. My new grad status is ticking away😔

Same im in the same boat, I just want someone to give me a chance

For those who have interviewed, what kind of questions did they ask? My interview is 3 hours with group activity and I have no idea what that means LOL

Like a previous poster said sometimes is who you know but IDK anyone lmao uuugghh. I graduated last year in May so time is for real ticking. What happens if we're no longer considered new grads, what jobs are we supposed to apply for?

I'm sorry. Have you had your resume reviewed by your career services? When I did that, I started getting calls.
do you have friends that work at hospitals? Start asking for referrals. Search for recruiters online and email them. Show up to hiring fairs even though they're asking for experience nurses. That way they see a face to match the resume.

I interviewed but it was a panel and I was the only one but I did a 3 hour interview for Kaiser that had a group activity.

we had to do a quick group presentation. It was basically to see who was a team player, who's bossy, shy etc. I know it's a different hospital but it might be the same concept. But the Kaiser interview had 12 applicants. 🙃

My interview with LLCH was for the nicu. Zero scenario questions. A lot of behavioral questions regarding safety.

kaiser, they had both behavioral and scenario plus the group activity/presentation. Which why it took 3 hours.

I got a PICU interview

What? How? Didn't they just begin interviews  yesterday?

My interview was on 2/18!! So it was a week apart from when I got a call to schedule, interview, and then an offer!

For my interview the panelists were divided into two groups. For the first 30 I was with one group and they asked me about myself and then 3 behavioral questions and then it was the same for the other group for the last 30 minutes!

Honestly I 100% understand where you're coming from. It took 40 hospitals and 4 interviews to finally land this job 😭 it's so hard
