Locks of Love...

Well...I did it! I got my hair cut! I was only planning on cutting off 6 inches or so for medium length hair...but the beautician said that if if I cut off a few more inches I could donate it to Locks of Love. So I bit the bullet and cut it all off!! :eek: My hair hasn't been this short in a long time. All in all, 12 inches of red hair all gone for a good cause. :D I feel so liberated!! :D

What a wonderful thing to do! 12 inches is a lot of hair....but it makes your head much lighter. I cut off all my hair a few years ago and I wish I would have known about Lock of Love back then. Great Job!!

I did the same thing about 2 years ago, donated a 13 inch ponytail. I got a little thank you postcard back from Locks of Love. It was fun I had never had short hair in my life, and I couldn't believe I actually liked it! It's growing back now, I kinda missed being able to throw it in a ponytail when I was in a hurry. Congrats on the new hair do!

Wonderful!! How very generous of you.. a co-worker of mine just did this on Monday. She had very long hair also which she hadn't kept short for years and years. She ended up donating 12 inches of very thick wavy hair. Cheers to you both!!

Here are pics of the new 'do. The "before" pic is a couple years old at the Strictly Sails Boat Show in Chicago...I can't find any current ones on my PC and DH is in the middle of something "important"...aka...his game! :rolleyes: Yup...that's my hubby...Mr. Romantic on Valentines Day! :D Anyway...my hair was down to the middle of my back when I got it cut but just to give you a little perspective here are the pics! I hope this works...I'm still not to good at this stuff...
