Liu Post accelerated program.

Published

Hi everyone. So I have recently just started my application for the accelerated Nursing program at LIU. When I apply I chose to apply as transfer student. I have submitted all my transcript and recommendation letters. A few days ago I received a letter from LIU saying that I have been accepted. The thing is I haven't even submit my personal statement. On the letter it saids: Congratulations you have been accepted to the Nursing program at LIU post of the summer 2017. My concern now is whether I'm accepted to the traditional 4 years program or the accelerated one? It means a lot if someone can answer my question.

Hey! I just applied as well for Summer 2018. The application process is certainly tricky, as they do not have much information on their site. When I applied, they emailed me saying I would receive an email within 48 HOURS with what steps I would need to take next. THEY NEVER EMAILED ME, even though I emailed them twice! I had to call and they said you have to send 1 letter of recommendation, a personal statement (topic of your choice), and transcripts from all schools attended. It's also all sent to their admissions processing center in Massachusetts. They FINALLY emailed me two weeks after I called, which was a MONTH after I applied. They did not even mention anything about the TEAS exam. Which, before I saw on their site that it was required, and now I don't even see anything at all about it.

Hope this helps!

Hi Alej,

Thank you so much for your reply! That helped quite a bit! Also I dont see a requirement for the Teas on the website so im assuming they dont need it anymore.

Hi bt134,

Have you heard from LIU? I just submitted my application today and received the email saying they will email me in 48 hours. I found it so weird! lol

If they replied to you already can you please confirm what documents they asked for and where they should be sent? I have been reading that they are very slow and do not follow up.. I think I should start sending my documents to be one step ahead. :)

Hi Daywall,

Are you applying for the summer 2018? Definitely start sending your documents in ! I did receive an email a few days later after i submitted my application and I also called them to confirm they had everything. What they need is official transcripts from all schools attended, a personal statement and 1-2 letters of recommendation. Make sure to email them to the address I pasted below:

LIU Brooklyn

Admissions Processing Center

15 Dan Road, Suite 102

Canton, MA 02021

I hope this helps!

Thank you! Yes it is for the summer. I received an email yesterday. No teas required!

Good Luck everybody!

Hi.

Does anybody knows if the express decision during transfer week applies to students that want to enroll to the ABSN?

I received an email that next week is transfee week, and eventhough i sent my application a few weeks ago the status has not been updated. I am confused!

This does not apply to ABSN students.

Now, i have another question.. does anybody knows when is the first day of class for the summer session? Thanks!

Hi! I am currently applying to the Fall 2019 program and I am confused about the application process too. I do not see a list of requirements on their page. Do you know what they require? Letters of recommendation? Transcripts? TEAS?

Hi everyone. I know no one has posted here in a while but I was wondering if anyone applied for the accelerated BSN program starting this summer (2019)? I couldn't find a thread on it.
