Liu Post accelerated program.

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone. So I have recently just started my application for the accelerated Nursing program at LIU. When I apply I chose to apply as transfer student. I have submitted all my transcript and recommendation letters. A few days ago I received a letter from LIU saying that I have been accepted. The thing is I haven't even submit my personal statement. On the letter it saids: Congratulations you have been accepted to the Nursing program at LIU post of the summer 2017. My concern now is whether I'm accepted to the traditional 4 years program or the accelerated one? It means a lot if someone can answer my question.

Hi there. LIU is on my list for accelerated BSN for summer 2018. To answer your question, since you applied specifically to the ABSN, I do not see why you would be accepted into the program other than ABSN. However, was there an option of changing to generic BSN if you were not selected for the ABSN? If so, it may be the case as well. However, a more detailed and sure answer you can only be given by calling the school directly. Now since we are talking about LIU's ABSN, would you be so kind to tell what is the price for the entire ABSN program? Is LIU generous in terms of grants/scholarships? If so, how generous?

Thank you!

Actually I just found out the one that I'm being accepted to is LIU post which I apply at first, because I thought they have an accelerated program. Then I found out that LIU Brooklyn is the one that offers accelerated program and I applied again. So that explains why I got accepted without a personal statement and way before the deadline is due. And for your question I believe the tuition is 34,352 annually. And I do not know whether they gives out a lot of scholarships.

I asked the admissions office and was told the total cost is around 70k, which is every expensive. I received a merit scholarship but it looks nothing compared to the cost.

Hi futurenurserntobe! Did you get accepted into the summer 2017 cohort? If so, when did you hear back from them? I applied back in December and had all my docs in my January but they took a while in processing it because my documents were lost in an orphanage pile. Seems like they recently just reviewed my application so I'm wondering whether I should be hearing back. Thanks!

Hi hcng, I heard back long time ago, soon after I submitted my application. I think you will find out soon. Best of luck :)

Has anyone been accepted and plans on going to LIU accelerated nursing program starting in summer 2017?

Hi! I've been accepted and am attending LIU Brooklyn accelerated program this summer :)

How were you notified? By email or mail?

Neither -- I actually went in person to ask about my status and that's when they told me

@hcng will you be attending LIU? I called and they said I got accepted. How has your process been with financial aid & classes??

Hi! So I'm interested in applying to the ABSN program at LIU for next summer. I currently attend SUNY Oneonta and want to transfer into the program. I was wondering about the qualifications. If you don't mind me asking if you had any experience or a high GPA when transferring. I am trying to decide if it is worth it to apply or not with my current GPA. Thanks!
