Why do people who don't know anything about a nursing program think they do?? I just had a conversation with a co-worker who was under the impression that I'll be a nurse in June...I said no no--I'll be done with all my pre-reqs and then I can apply to the nursing program...you should of seen her face...she said 'oh I thought all the classes you were taking was for the nursing program' ummmm it is! I explained that you can't just apply to the nursing program and automatically get in. She said, 'well if you already have the credits you can get in'
She made me feel like I have been deceiving everyone. When people ask me what I'm going to school for I say nursing. Is that wrong??

I don't think it's wrong to say that you are in school for nursing, because the classes you are taking are needed to obtain your degree, which you hope will be in nursing. Don't get upset when people don't understand, just explain it :)

Don't blame your coworker, she obviously doesn't understand what the requirements are to get into a nursing program then eventually a nurse. Don't think she was trying to make it seem like you were deceiving others
