Hi all
Just wondering about Lisa arends study guides. I'm taking my health and safety next wed. And s friend gave me Lisa study guide for last min study material. I thought I was ready but when I sw ALL of tests and info I went in panic mode. Do we need to know all of it? I thought the book and recomended books were enough. What r ur experiences with her study guides. Did it help?
I plan to read thru it this weekend
Thanks

I too bought her info. Great info, but too much to use as a primary source imo. I skim through hers and SG101. Be confident!!! You'll do great!!!

I had Lisa's notes for Chronicity and Repro, and I thought the info was off course from the EC Content guide. I found the info to be dated & inaccurate in the sensory section of of studyguide101, and a few students have found other errors. I really like Saunder's NCLEX review book now. It has a corresponding section for every exam we do, and a GREAT practice exam at the end of every chapter. You can feel pretty darn safe about the level of accuracy you are getting as well. Good luck with your test!!

Yay for Saunders, I am such a fan too! I seriously don't leave my house without my Saunders LOL :-)
I used Lisa A. notes for Transitions and have not bought them since. I really like SG101 better, they are more current and better organized to follow our current study guides--for the most part. Really felt like they were way off with Chronicity but for the most part, pretty good :-)

If you are nervous or lack confidence take the EC practice exams. Almost everyone here will tell you they are worth their weight in gold!
Thank you guys
I never thought to look at nclex review books. Also I plan to look at those sg101 for upcoming exams.

I used Lisa's information, but beware- she is like a rabid dog over her information.
The other problem that I had with her, is that she claims that all of her information is copyrighted, yet if you Google some of the information she has, it's in black and white and is clearly taken from other sources.
