Linfield ABSN 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

I haven't seen a thread made yet so I thought I would make one! Has anyone else applied to Linfield's ABSN 2020 program?

Last year I believe they had us confirm via email, so I'm wondering if they'll send out an email to all of us on the waitlist in a few days.

The first day, there was an option to accept or reject my offer of admissions with a couple clicks. Yesterday, that option had disappeared (before I had a chance to accept my offer). It just keeps opening a new window with the same page. I think there must be a glitch.

Has anyone been able to get ahold of linfield and ask question?

I just found out I am on the waitlist as well. Hopefully we make it. I just accepted my position because the email went to my spam folder ? So frustrating, did this happen to anyone else? Glad I checked this page or I wouldn't have known.

Has anyone gotten off of the waitlist. I emailed them and they said “
No, there hasn't been a final waitlist confirmation yet. It will be before May 1st.” I’m not exactly know what that means.

Does anyone know the TOTAL cost for the linfield program? Either ABSN or the 2 year. I cannot seem to find the total cost.

Awesome Edan. If you don’t mind, could you share your stats with us? I have a 3.43 GPA and am currently on the waitlist.

Sure thing.

For my bachelors I have a 3.84 cumulative GPA and for the ABSN prereqs I have a 3.87. I've been working as a CPhT for 10+ years, worked as a scribe at OHSU for 3 years, and volunteer with Housecall Providers.

WOW!, that stats is amazing. My friend had a similar stats and got into the OHSU ABSN program. I didn’t think linfield would be that competitive. Fingers crossed here but I think I’ll have to retake some classes and try again next year. Both English classes are few of the classes bringing down my whole grade.

I also applied to the OHSU ABSN and I'm currently a "highly likely" alternate. If I get off the waitlist there I might go with OHSU just based on tuition cost.

I got my BA in English and used to be a writing tutor at PSU. If you have to retake any writing classes I really recommend utilizing the Writing Center at your school! I know they're free at PSU and PCC.

Ahh makes sense. I’d do the same if mine were higher LOL but yeah amazing stats and good luck with it all. Congratulations.
