I haven't seen a thread made yet so I thought I would make one! Has anyone else applied to Linfield's ABSN 2020 program?

For folks on the waitlist, I heard they go through most of it since a lot of people accepted admission at other schools around the same time. Fingers crossed for you!!
Yeah! CONGRATS!! I hope we can all join you!
I'm on the waitlist also. I'm so disappointed, I applied to the 2 year program last year and was waitlisted.
I think what's hurting me is one of my grades in A&P. I got 2 B-'s my first time taking, which I retook to get A's (but they only accept 1 retake of A&P). Otherwise I had an A in Micro, an A- in Nutrition, an A in psych, and A's in the whole Bio series and a 3.81 cumulative GPA. I also have 1,500 hours as a medical scribe and 400 volunteer hours at my local hospital. ?

Have you considered applying to a Community College as well? They don't look at retakes and are much cheaper. If I had a 3.81 cGPA plus the patient care experience, I would apply to a CC and get my BSN later. Did you get B- in both A&P I and A7P II twice?

Yeah, my school uses a quarter system so my first grades in A&P were B-, B-, and B+. I retook 2 terms and got A's but they're only seeing one of those retakes. I've considered applying to a CC but I really wanted to finish in a little over a year and only take the NCLEX once. But looking back, I wish I did apply so I had other options!
When I was waitlisted last year I believe there were 25 spots (can't quite remember) for their regular program, so I'm not sure how much the ABSN waitlist varies. I also applied to the OHSU ABSN program and had an interview and am currently waiting to hear back on that.
I was also confused on how I was supposed to confirm my spot on the waitlist. I sent an email out to admissions stating that I would like to confirm my waitlist status. The whole admission portal is new from last year so I'm assuming they just have some kinks they have to work out!

I was also confused on how to accept my position on the waitlist so I sent an email to admissions as well. I couldn’t see any other way to confirm the position. Unless I was missing something.

Last year I believe they had us confirm via email, so I'm wondering if they'll send out an email to all of us on the waitlist in a few days.
@askingallthequestions I can’t find the FB page! Is it private? Would you mind DMing me a link to join?

Two people have found it, so I think it's live. I don't have DM privileges here (yet), but here's the link:
