Sure! I have a current 4.0 pre-req GPA (I'm finishing up my last two lab classes this quarter), a year and a half of volunteer experience at Providence Portland, and a variety of non-medical work/volunteer experience. My undergrad GPA from years ago is a 3.1.
I think Linfield looks at a variety of factors for admission, so I wouldn't worry! I don't have the best undergrad GPA, but I tried my best during my pre-reqs and hope that will count for something.
I know this whole process is difficult for everyone. Taking really hard classes, working on applications in your spare time, and then waiting diligently for admission decisions is exhausting. Hang tight, we should know so soon!
Hi guys,
I applied to the ABSN program as well and was informed I am on the waitlist. Fingers crossed.
I wish I had time to retake my English as those two are my courses with Bs along with a B in A&P II. I also have a C in organic Chemistry but I wish I had time to retake the intro OChem. If I am able to get A in those courses, I would have a 3.8 prereq GPA but have a 3.46 currently. If not this year, I hope my prereq GPA will be enough for next year.
How is everyone else's application stat looking?
I was waitlisted. My pre-req grades were A- Microbiology lecture and lab, A in in Nutrition and psychology, A- in statistics, B in writing, B-s in Chemistry, B in A&P 1 and 2 and an A in Anatomy 3. I haven’t even calculated my prerequisite GPA but I think it is like a 3.5. My down fall is my overall GPA which is a 2.94. Medical experience includes 1 year as a medical scribe and as of now 5 months of caregiving at a retirement home.

I haven't seen a thread made yet so I thought I would make one! Has anyone else applied to Linfield's ABSN 2020 program?
