Linfield ABSN Class of 2018

Hi guys! I wanted to start a thread for those planning to join the Linfield ABSN Class of 2018. I just got my acceptance letter yesterday! Anyone else?

Hi all! In case anyone on here is still waiting to hear about movement on the waitlist, I got received an email today that I've been accepted! I was in the top 20, and it sounds like a lot of movement happened over the past few days. So if you haven't heard yet, hopefully you will really soon :)

From my experience and what others have shared in another forum, they would only let us know we were "top 20". But Mindy has been very helpful with any questions I had about likelihood of admission while I anxiously waited. I bet if you reached out to her, she could give you an update if you're at least in the top 10 now! I would imagine that there are only at most 20 people left on the waitlist now (since I think they only have a total of 40). Keeping my fingers crossed that everyone hears an update ASAP!

I have emailed a couple times, but I don't seem to get too much information. Maybe I'm not asking her the right questions. She did tell me about May 2nd though, which is good to know.

Aw man, sorry that you can't get clearer answers :( It is frustrating how they don't give you an exact number about where you fall on the list this year. I know I was way more anxious not knowing! I really hope you get some good news soon though. I know it's not unusual for them to go through the entire waitlist, but having to wait until after the deposit deadline is killer.

Hi there! I got accepted into the program a few days ago and I'm still waiting on my financial aid package :) How are people planning to fund this? The tuition costs are quite literally making me cry

@May2231 Congrats!!!!! Were you on the waitlist? If so, did they give you the same May 1st deposit deadline?

I was accepted! Has anyone been to the nursing school for a tour or has anyone met with any of the faculty? I really love the idea of being done in 15months but the price tag makes me very nervous. Also, it's hard to know if a school is a good fit when all communication is done via email. Has anyone talked to graduates or current students of the ABSN program? If so what have they said about the program?

YAY, congrats @anh05f! My fiance is a Linfield grad, and one of my really good friends is a student there right now. Although she is on the regular track. One of my fiance's complaints was the clinical sights - not many hospital locations, mainly long term care facilities. However before graduating he did have two job offers, so he got what he needed out of the program. Also, from what he told me a lot of his classmates from his cohort got jobs immediately after graduation. I just accepted into the program yesterday. I'm looking for rent a room, does anybody have any suggest any website beside craigslist?
