Hello All!
I recently submitted my nursing application to LMU for the Fall 2017 cohort. I was wondering if anyone knew the student profile of the average admitted student? I have a 3.6 cumulative GPA, and am wondering if that is competitive enough to be considered for admission.
Thank you!

You should have no problem getting in. If I remember correctly, acceptance letters go out in mid-March. I just graduated from the ABSN at Cedar Bluff.
Thank you so much for your reply! How would you evaluate your experience at LMU's nursing program? Would you say that it properly prepared you for the NCLEX exam?
Thanks again for your insight, I appreciate it.
I haven't taken NCLEX yet, but I'm hoping to test in January. LMU has the highest NCLEX-RN pass rate in the state, I believe (either this year or last year). Almost everyone in my class had jobs offers before graduation (some hadn't applied yet). We took a predictor test right before graduation, and I got a 99% likelihood of passing NCLEX on the first attempt. LMU also requires ABSN to do 3 days of HURST Review, which is a really good way to prep for NCLEX (3 days in class at school and an ongoing online portion with videos, practice questions, meds, etc. that you can use for a year). I think the program and instructors have prepared us well. I also appreciated that we had clinical experiences in a lot of different specialties/hospitals so I think that gives you a good idea of where you want to go after graduation.

Hey Meganishere, did you ever get your letter? I plan to apply for their Spring 2018 program and am a nervous wreck! Did you have all your pre reqs completed when you applied? Which campus did you apply for?
Hello,
Yes I got my acceptance letter within two weeks of sending in my final transcripts. I applied the semester I was finishing my last two prerequisites and then submitted my final transcript. I am starting their ABSN program this Fall at the Cedar Bluff Campus. Good luck with your acceptance, I'm sure you will get in :)
How exciting!!!!! I am really excited, but nervous of the cost of their program. Is your financial aid covering most of it??
Yes it covered tuition and I took a private student loan out to cover living expenses.
So grants, scholarships and did you also get a student loan besides the private loan? Sorry for the personal questions. I am so nervous about the price but I want to attend their program so badly!!! My work also helps pay for my tuition so that will help!
