Limited stress areas

Which areas for FNP work would you say is less stressful? For example, where you won't be seeing patients as frequently as every 15-30 minutes.

Well, I work in nephrology and while I see anywhere from 15-60 pts/day its not that stressful after 10 years.

What I'm getting at is that any job is stressful at the beginning because you are still getting used to it, the flow of the job, the people you work with, the EMR, etc..

Pick something, go with it and if you don't like it, change

That's high stress?

Maybe a college or school clinic? Neuro often spends a reeeeeeeaaaaaaaeallllllllly long time with patients.

STD clinic...may be faster than you want but it's an entirely algorithmic type of treatment.

The FNP at my former PCP's office left the practice to work at a sleep clinic.

What's that quote, Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life (or something to that effect). Point is, pick a specialty that interests you. And Like PP said, anything will be harder in the beginning.
