Anyone have an opinion on Lifecare? It's an LTC that specializes in pt's with dementia.
Suggestions for working with dementia patients.

No specific questions yet, I went ahead and took the plunge and accepted a job offer with them, so for better or worse, I belong there now! I just was roaming around the LTC site and read some interesting posts on other LTC chains, I was certainly educated about one facilities dementia patient's and there were a lot of interesting posts re: another LTC that were not exactly flattering. I've worked good, medium and bad places, I'm hoping for a wonderful or good with this facility. Glad to hear your experience is positive.
quick update, cautiously optimistic and really excited to see the way they approach dementia care. I'm hoping it's the kind of place I can put down roots and stay for years n years. The staff from CNA's on up seem knowlegable and caring. Could be the honeymoon period, hope it's for real!

I just know they are a large LTC chain with facilities in several states - I worked thru Interim staffing about 5 yrs ago at the facility in Cheyenne and had a positive experience and believe me some of them are horrible! Good luck and keep us posted!
