You just need to do what you feel like you need to do. If you're afraid you'll miss something....read the chapters. It's summer school....it goes by fast! Just be sure to get that A so you can have a better chance of being accepted into the nursing program.
I honestly don't remember what the tests were like. I think it was very detailed. If you fall behind on your reading, maybe you can just do reviews at the end of chapters.
Who is your instructor? I took it over the summer several years ago and can't remember her name...if I saw it I would recognize it...she basically met with us on campus for a few reviews and thats all we needed to look over for the test besides just skimming the chapters for something from the book to pop up on the test. I never watched the videos....
jadu1106, thanks for checking.stacygirl, how far are you into your pre req's?
I still have to get through this class, then taking Micro in the Fall, re-taking AP2 next spring, then English planned for next summer. I work full time and have 2 kiddos - so about 1 class a semester is about all I can handle if I want to make good grades. I also think I'd like to take a Pharm class before NS. From reading on this website, it sounds like it would be pretty helpful.
How about you?
Your so lucky!! I study on my lunch break and after the kids go to bed.
Which campus are you taking your test at? I'm going to South.
I didnt think I was ever going to finish the 10 chapters, but I did and now I'm trying to answer all the review questions.
Whew... then we get to do it all again for the next exam.

Has anyone out there taken Life Span (Psych2) during the summer at TCC? Its an ITV class (my first). Yesterday was the first day and I was about knocked over after reading that the first exam is in a week and covers 10 chapters!!! Then another exam a week later and the final exam a week after that. The exams are worth 100 points each (300 total) and you have to get at least 270 points to get an A in the class.
So is there anyone out there who has taken this class? Are they exams difficult or the type that if you read the text and stugy guide, I should do fine? I find myself re-reading paragraphs several times and making all sorts of notes - which is really slowing me down, but I feel like if I dont then I'll miss something that might be on the exam. I've only got 7 days to read 10 chapters, fill in the study guide questions for each and watch 10 30-minute videos.
Yeah - I'm feeling a little overwelmed here.
