Hello everyone! I've been doing a lot of thinking about when I will attend Medical School in the future. I want a general idea of what year I want to start MS after I graduate from college. So, Should I take a few years before starting MS after receiving my Bachelor's Degree to work as an RN? Or should I go straight into MS after graduating so I don't lose focus?
Also, could I possibly be an RN while in MS? Or do you guys think it just might be too much on my plate? Thanks in advance!

Really interesting things you bring up. Typically what comes to mind is that most are biology majors that apply to med school after they finish their undergrad years. be aware though that med school does require some other different prereqs that nursing does not require. From what I know and seen from someone close to me they applied to med school after they had their 4 year degree and MCAT test. I think you would also want to make sure you have lots of volunteering hours and some kind of research that you spent a lot of time doing. It is probably a good idea to apply once you have everything done because it does take time to get notification if you get interviews or not. The earlier you apply the better and sometimes people don't get accepted their first application try even with interviews so you can see that it's complicated.
i have heard of sometimes people taking a year off break to do whatever they want before they start school again so it's a personal preference of when you want to apply. I think that if you can apply as soon possible that's great.

Did you take the appropriate pre-med classes while in nursing school to get a competitive grade on the MCAT? Are you applying to MD or DO programs? What's your GPA? What have you done to make your application stand out?
