Life after Excelsior

Published

I am one nursing class away from being done with my excelsior associates degree (minus the FCAA and CPNE). I am starting to think about the future and have looked into some rn to bsn programs with the hopes of getting into anesthesia school after that. I am running into a brick wall with all the traditional schools saying that they don't accept excelsior's credit by exam.

Has anyone had any luck going to a more traditional bachelors or masters program after getting their associates from excelsior?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had no problems. I am at SUNY Delhi and they give you a lump number of credits for you assoc. I went with SUNY over EC due to money. Not a bad program, brand new. I finish in the fall.

I think you need to talk to some different programs. I know you can go to the Univ. of Wyoming with an ASN from EC. They have an online program. I had a friend that went to Jacksonville Univ. for her BSN after the ASN at EC.
