Licensure with misdemeanor???

Has anyone in New York had a problem receiving their license with a misdemeanor ... And if so can anyone give me some insight on how that process works??? Please

Have you heard back yet from NY BON regarding your license?

I actually spoke to the supervisor who handles these situations and he looked over my file and paperwork, and said based on the info provided I should be approved without restrictions.. I have to provide a background check from the state( had to get fingerprinted) and 3 reference .. I should have the case closed within a week .. So I should be good to go...

If you don't mind me asking, did you have to submit finger prints and all that because you originally didn't send in any documents with your application. I have sent everything in with the original NcLeX app, took the test on August 14, passed but still waiting to hear about my license. Very frustrated. Anything you have to share would be great. Thank you so very much.

Where are u located??? I live upstate so my paperwork was forward to the office of discipline in Port Chester (Mid-Hudson region) the supervisor for that office was out on vacation for like a month and just returned on the 17th of August.. I spoke to him directly the day he return and asked for fingerprints ( personal review report) and 3 references.. I sent in the court documents and personal statement with the original application... I was told as long as my rap sheet

Rap sheet matches the information I provided .. He brief looked at my paperwork he had and said there should be no reason why it should be denied and once he gets the additional paperwork he can open the case and it would be about a week to hopefully approve it .. It's reviewed with an attorney and then the decision is made.. I took my test July 22... I'm soooo discouraged but I figured it would take some time.. Then t has to go back to Nys BON in Albany for license issuance... I would call NYS BON and follow up.. I was chronically on the phone with them literally every other day

NYC...spoke to someone at discipline office and was told they were out of the office and just returned on Monday. So they are starting to look at the paperwork now I hope....I had already sent in all required court documents as well as 8 letters of reference and I am obtaining more should they need. Congrats!!!...did you have to appear before the board or interview w an investigator? My lawyer is in contact with the investigator starting this week so hoping the ball gets rolling. Let me know how long it takes for your license to post. Best of luck.

No... I just handed in the papers that they asked for ( fingerprints and references) .. Handed that in on Wednesday September 2nd and was cleared on the 9th... License posted on the 16th... I just kept calling and following up...! But i didn't have to meet with anyone... Please keep me posted on your status .. It shouldn't be much longer... Good luck
