Licensure endorsement compact state

Published

Currently I have a active unencumbered RN license multi state compact in the state of Texas I am seeking to relocate to Colorado for a Nother are in job I went online to NUR SYS.com And completed the licensure endorsement verification and paid the fee to have my license verification sent to the Colorado board of nursing... is that all I need to do since they’re both compact states because I’m reading some parts online where you have to fill out a whole separate application and do a whole Nother background check in the state you’re transferring to I’m just so confused

You can’t apply for licensure in CO as long as you maintain residency in TX, and your TX license provides multi-state privileges.

When you relocate to CO and apply for licensure you will be allowed to work using your current TX license while your CO license is being processed. And yes, you still have to apply for licensure by endorsement with the CO BON.

Best wishes

You won't be able to get a Colorado license until you establish residency in Colorado. Until then, you can work under your Texas compact license.
