i have a question, i'm a us citizen but i juz graduated last march as BSN here in the Philippines. i'm here in Baguio taking my review in nclex. Now, i juz fill up an application licensure and send it to the florida board of nursing because that's where i lived..now the question is do i need to wait for the response of the florida of nursing before i register for the pearsonvue? pls. reply...

You are a foreign grad, that is what things are based on. It doesn't matter if you are a US citizen in this case or not.

You still need to send a credentials verification to Florida (CES by CGFNS) before they will okay you to sit for the exam.

I never ever advise registering until you know that everything has been accepted. There are some programs in the Philippines that do not meet US standards and have been missing some classes.

good day to all!!!

i have applied to FLorida BOn and have received a copy of my CES report from CGFNS. what will i be receiving next? is it eligibility already from Florida? if so, what should i be doing next? i really wouldn't want to commit mistakes during this whole process of taking the NCLEX. thank you so much!!!

guys, is there any quick course that prapares for the test without going to the school?

or RN school?

thank you:redpinkhe

I think before you do anything apply to state BON and see what they say about your training or even get CES full course report from CGFNS which will give you an indictation on where you are regarding your training

Have you actually completed training in an approved school of nursing somewhere in the world? If not, there is no way to get permission to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam. Does not matter what you have trained already in, but there is no way to test without the training first.

my friend who graduated in my country, she got permition for the test in here, I'm sure if I send to my diploma to CGFNS they will give me permition for the test, but I don't have a training, I've never worked as a nurse, that's why I'm looking for a school for that. 2 years sounds too long, may be there is 1 year program or something like that.

any info will be very helpfull for me.

thank you so much!:redpinkhe

If you went to nursing school, that is what is meant by training. You are equating it with work experience which is something else entirely.

If you went thru an approved school of nursing and are granted permission to sit for an exam, then that is all that you need to do. If you pass it, then you would get hired and treated as a new grad.

Simple as that.
