  3. I graduated in 1991, I hardly remember anything and I will be very uncomfortable starting a job without going to the school. Beleve me our schools are different in my country, even hospitals, IV-s machines and etc... orientation period is when they train you right? how is maximum time for that? thank you :redpinkhe
  4. my friend who graduated in my country, she got permition for the test in here, I'm sure if I send to my diploma to CGFNS they will give me permition for the test, but I don't have a training, I've never worked as a nurse, that's why I'm looking for a school for that. 2 years sounds too long, may be there is 1 year program or something like that. any info will be very helpfull for me. thank you so much!:redpinkhe

  10. Hi guys, I'm from overseas , don't think I'm stupid it's just different educational system in USA, so could you tell me do you have to pay for extern and intership? and how long is that? I graduated nursing back to my country(2 year college) and I've been working as a home health aid for all this time 24 hours, 5 days and and it's very depressive and pay is not great also. I realy want to work as a nurse but I don't know how to start, what to do. I have 2 children back there and I see them ones a year and I want to bring them here but I have to make sure that I have a job I can depend on. any info will be very helpful for me. thank you :redpinkhe
  11. silverdragon, thanks for reply, I've been here for 9 years, have a permanent green card and waiting for my citizenship(already had fingerprints). I just graduated massage therapy and working part time in the clinic, not very happy... I got evaluation for my diploma in NY and got 63 credits, I think I'm eligible to take only test without going to the school, but I wont, nursing in here and in my country is totaly different, it's much harder in here, so I have to go to the school but as I see there are tests before entering to LPN right? math and english I think, wich is scary thank you :redpinkhe
