But you posted Mar 6 that you got a Texas License. Many states do not issue paper licenses and Texas is one of these. Employer can very active license online. I have had Texas license since 1983 when they did send paper license. New Mexico doesn’t issue paper licenses any longer either. I also have Texas NP license. BTW Texas also posts pictures of nurse imposters in newsletter, one reason they do not issue paper licenses. Nursys is where everything is verified for active licenses.

I REALLY need to know where the imposter pictures are posted! I worked with one in Indiana long ago and well, let's just say I'm curious!

I think it might be too easy to go down a rabbit hole there, LOL!

I think I’ve worked with 2 for sure! One claimed trained as nurse in Mexico but a new grad shadowing her informed me that this nurse was crushing a pill mixing with saline to inject in an IV. Giving report to this nurse she wrote everything out long hand, not using usual medical abbreviations. The other one had been Air Force medic, some of us had talked about her inconsistencies but nothing we could concretely identify but had told the manager. Until the shift she gave blood. Used regular IV tubing and piggyback set up. Night charge taped it to manager’s door with a big note saying “Now do you believe us?” Never saw either of them again.
