This is a thread for all Lord Fairfax Community College hopefuls for the 2020 application cycle.

What are your hopes, fears, concerns, etc!

That’s awesome!!
were you part of the HESI facebook study group?
I scored really well on A&P, and scored 89 on all other sections, but my critical thinking was one point away from giving me points. I didn’t do well on that section at all.
I think I’m at 75 points with the residency, so I’m super nervous.

HESI only. I also know plenty of people who have 45 or so points as well. Everyone in this group are the highest of points I've heard of thus far, honestly. I personally don't have near as many as anyone else who has posted in this thread.

Thank you, I really hope so. I have a lot riding on this as I’m sure we all do. Yes, I put Middletown as secondary, but that would be an hour drive. I’ll be working full time during class (assuming I get in) so adding in a 2 hour commute per day vs. 30 min. will be challenging.

If I get in I’ll have to drive 1hr and 30mins ?. Do you know which campus is better? I read a forum about Faquier being a bit disorganized. Is this true?

I’m sorry to hear that ?. There is a lot of seats for both campuses. I really hope for
all of us to get in!

Thanks! I have 70 points. Regardless, I'll know where to shoot for next time. I hope that we all get in as well!

I bet that was disappointing ? Fingers double crossed for you to be selected!!

No, I didn’t even know about that! I have a strong medical background so I think that helped a lot. I was surprised with the critical thinking section, I def feel that you needed some type of facility or patient care experience to do well on it. Fingers double crossed for you as well!

I know that the nursing curriculum standards changed a year or two ago and all the schools were a bit disorganized for a while. I haven’t heard anything lately about it. Hopefully they have their acts together LOL.
