Specializes in L&D/Antepartum, Neuro.

I was looking on their website and I noticed they have seasonal contracts from October to March paying RN's up to $50. Is it all areas of nursing and why such a need between Oct and March. Do they do this every year? Sorry for all the questions but this sounds too good to be true, just curious what the real deal is.

There are number of places that offer seasonal contracts. Some are to help cover summer/winter/holiday vacations of regular staff. Some may be to cover known upcoming absences (FMLA, surgeries, maternity leave) of regular staff. Or maybe they've expanded a department and need contract staff to help cover while they hire/train new people. Maybe there's been a big exodus of some sort due to unhappy nurses, new facility opening, etc.

I don't know the specifics of why LMC is offering seasonal contracts. Contact their HR department and ask! Inquiring about department openings, retention, turnover, and other HR matters is important to know when searching for a new job.

Good luck! :wink2:
