Lewis and Clark Community College-Acceptance letter Spring 2017

Published

After searching on here vigorously I haven't come across many people from my area. Maybe Im looking in the wrong places?

Anyway, I was just accepted to LCCC's nursing program where I will be getting my ADN! I start spring 2017.

This semester I am taking the last of my pre reqs...Chem 130. I am SOOO excited!!! Anyone else from LCCC or from anywhere else starting in Spring 2017???

Hey there, I'm entering the fourth semester of the nursing program at LCCC. It's a great program and I've had nothing but positive experiences with the coursework, instructors and clinical experiences.

Nursing school is an entirely different animal than anything you've done up to this point. It can feel overwhelming at times, especially out of the gate. Nursing requires a lot of critical thinking, there is a lot of gray area. Reading is very important, do your best to keep up with it because it is very easy to fall behind. I found it helpful to join in with a group of peers that do study groups.

All of the instructors I've had, both in clinical and the classroom are very helpful and want to see you succeed. If you have a good attitude and are willing to put in the work, they will do everything they can to help. Be sure to use all of the resources available to you.

Best of luck!

Hi there! Congratulations on getting into the ADN program! I hear it's pretty competitive these days. I'm also very interested in both the BSN and ADN programs at LCSC, and I'm trying to figure out my chances of getting into LCSC are. Would you mind me asking what your prerequisite GPA was? I know its pretty personal, but I'm trying to figure out what my best-bet schools are for acceptance. I totally understand if you would rather not disclose that info though! I go to WSU, and should have a 3.88 pre-req GPA when I'm done later this year, but with a retake in one basic bio class (that one was really hurting my GPA before I retook it). I haven't taken any admissions exams yet, but generally test pretty well. Do you think I have a shot of getting into LCSC?
