$21.43/hr + shift differential: $2.50 E, $3.00 N, +$2.50 wknds. Med/Surg in Georgia. I am 6 mos in (new grad May 2010) and happened to come in when it was time for annual eval and got a $0.14 raise. I have heard from other ppl I graduated with ranging from $21-$28/hr depending on hospital and whether they are accepting benefits or not with shift diffs/wknds ranging from $3-$5.
To Mudder: Our Director told our LPN's that they now have barely 2 yrs to get their RN or they will no longer have a job at our hospital. So getting your RN may be advisable just in case that is something that will start happening in other states. I'm pretty sure with your experience as an RN, you will get more $$.

I was looking around the internet for something that estimated the salary of a new grad in my city/state. Well I found it and I was awful shocked. It's insanely higher than I am/will be making anytime soon. May I ask, for those of you who are or were recently (lets say past five years) new grads with no experience, what was your starting wage p/hr, where do you live, and on what unit do you work?
I'll join in...

Hopefully there are a few responses as I am very curious!
