Less than 5 days til my RN Boards.. nerves way up

Published

Last week Mar 8 i took QT6 and got 58%. Mar 10 I took QT7 and got 61%.

Also last week, I did mini Qbank tests scoring 90% and 100% (i think because i finished all 1300Q in qbank and I've seen the questions before) and did Sample test #1 and got 50%

Yesterday, I did Ch 17 and 18 in the PDA book by LaCharity and got 44% each.

I took mini tests on Kaplan Qbank this morning around 9am, 20Q 75% and 10Q 70%. Like i usually do mini tests right when i wake up to see where my head is at.

but I just finished Qbank Sample Test #2 not 15min ago and got a 52%.

why are my scores so all over the place so close to test day? is this burnout? :arghh:

It is okay. You will be fine. If I am remembering right, the second q bank test is tough. I was all over the place with my practice results. You will be fine. Keep practicing. Relax the night before and get a good night's sleep. Good luck!

Maybe you need to have a mini break. Just a few hours. Are you having breakfast before starting?

I have exactly 52 qbank questions left. I have been doing them 50 at a time but I am now doing them 25 at a time. I would try another source for questions since you have finished all of Kaplan. I really like the NCLEX 3500 because it differentiates client needs as well as categories. The rationales really make sense. I do 50 questions twice a day. I will be doing Qtrainer 6 tonight once the kiddos are in bed.

my scores were not much different from yours. I averaged 59-63% on my question trainers. I did all of them twice. I finished 30% of the Qbank (average score 55%), but I did all the mini quiz test. I passed my NCLEX with 150ish questions. I knew with my scores I was not going to pass at 75, so I took a chance, but passed!

thank you @drowningdaily and @boubou for your encouraging words! i feel a whole lot better.

I think that's my problem... i'd been trying so hard to make sure I pass at 75. i couldn't accept my low, yet passing scores, according to Kaplan. this is my second attempt, a lot of pressure has been put on this, and i guess i stressed myself out.. which is why i can't think and my scores have been all over the place these last weeks before my test. I failed the last time at 118Q. I'm there... at the passing standard, i just gotta bump it up. i know now that I might not pass at 75, but i WILL pass regardless! thankssss!! :D
