It varies. I know of a person who got 3 years for a DUI and got it down to 2 by asking for an independent evaluation before anything was signed. The independent evaluator was done by their evaluators and the person did a year of monitoring with the courts just before their monitoring agreement.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone was able to tell me if they were able to only get a monitoring agreement of 2 years versus 3 or 5 for a DUI and what state that was? No workplace violations/concerns and no substance abuse issues. I understand all cases are individualized but wanting to know if any state has 2 year agreements or if they are all 3 to 5.
From my research I saw that Texas is 3 years, but if you are an APRN one would get a 5 year monitoring agreement. Are there any other states that have an increased monitoring agreement for APRNs?
