Lehman Nursing 2022

Hi! I created a thread for those applying to the nursing program in 2022. 

 

Can you guys share a little bit about how did you study for CT? Also, how was your experience with Readings? Cause I haven't been doing that well for reading in practice tests.

I believe we were supposed to write all schools attended on the application .

I also forwarded courses I took at community college to the Lehman Nursing department, but eventually if accepted they will probably ask us to re-send it.

Congratulations, great scores! I think 3.8 is a high GPA, Lehmans lower end for acceptance  past years was around 3.5. 

My stats are

3.97 GPA

CT: 900

A and P: 96%
Math: 92%

English: 77%

Overall:88%

Hey everyone!, I'm currently in the nursing program and wanted to comment real quick to some of your worries away. I'll share with my stats with you guys which btw were not the greatest LOL. 

A&P: 88

Math: 82

Reading Comp.: 80 

CT: 810

GPA: 3.71

So with that being said do not worry about your scores that much as long as they meet the guidelines you guys should be fine. If you have any questions I would gladly answer!

I would like to hear more about hospitals and clinical. How is it organized, how do you like it?

How is the program so far?. Also how are you managing to pass your classes? Last question do you recommend Lehman nursing program ?

As well as hospitals and clinicals, you are placed into clinical groups of 8 by the department. And based on these clinical groups is how your schedule is. You don’t get to pick any classes, the department makes your schedules. It’s a bit unorganized with the schedule process so sometimes they are delayed since it is only 1 person from the department that is in charge of this. But you will definitely be learning a lot during clinicals which are usually 12 hour days depending on the hospital you are placed. So far, it’s a lot of work but I like it!

The program is okay, your second semester would definitely be the hardest so be prepared for that. As far as your first semester the classes that most people struggle with is fundamentals. And I guess I’ve been managing with passing my classes, just about the way you time everything. I mean Lehman’s program is not bad.

What are their guidelines? I’m not seeing that on their website

HESI: 

75 and above for Math, Reading and A&P

CT: 800 and above

GPA: 3.5 and above (to have a good chance) but definitely varies depending on the applicant pool this year)

I submitted my application for the accelerated and generic program yesterday. Does anyone have an estimated timeframe from when we’ll hear back from Lehman? I want to reduce my anxiety ?. 
GPA: 3.9

Science: 92

English: 82

Math: 94

CT: 850
