Hi! I created a thread for those applying to the nursing program in 2022.

A&P: 88
Math: 82
Reading Comp.: 80
CT: 810
GPA: 3.71
So with that being said do not worry about your scores that much as long as they meet the guidelines you guys should be fine. If you have any questions I would gladly answer!
How is the nursing program going? Congratulations btw!
Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! I have a question about medical clearance. I recall during orientation someone asking about if chest x ray is only for those who test positive for ppd, and the answer was no regardless of your status you still need one. Is anyone else having an issue obtaining one? My doctor doesn’t want to do it for me unless it is medically necessary. I’m worried now because as you all know we have to submit everything by the 1st. Any advice on places to have the xray done quickly would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think it is a mistake on their end because I’ve never heard of getting a chest x ray even with a negative ppd. not sure??
Hey guys, I just went to the Urgent Care as asked to get chest X ray done. They asked me why, I explained to the office manager its for my Nursing program and she said NO PROBLEM. I said insurance should cover it. So maybe that helps guys
I also told the provider they requested us to do it regardless of previous TB status and he did say that makes no sense to him but they agreed to help me out. So URGENT CARE ?
Have the paperwork ready to show them (Health Clearance) and Nursing Acceptance Letter.

I just looked at my old health clearance form and looked up the one on the website. You guys don’t need the chest X-ray… just the blood work. But try calling the department tomorrow, hopefully they answer.
I’m glad your insurance covers it. They usually don’t if you’re negative.
