Hello everyone, I have a GED and was wondering if I can be accepted in Nursing school, I am especially interested in Lehman.

The problem is not having a ged the problem is getting into the program you need to take an algebra class a biology and a chemistry I believe those are the three before you can put that as your major then you have to take your basic prereqs. Also you some colleges have a waiting list and you have to keep a certain grade before getting accepted into clinicals. Some people do lpn first and then go for RN it's really up to you. You should speak to an advisor. I'm doing my cna first then I'm going for my lpn when I have the time. I'm doing this at hostos though.

I graduated from Lehman two years ago ( with a non nursing BA). The admissions to the nursing department is not direct entry. You have to take be take the prereqs ( which includes Chem, AP 1 &2, etc.) first and then an entrance exam. IF you want to go to Lehman then apply for the Fall and then do well in the prereqs.
