Hi, I'm currently a Lehman student applying for the fall 2021 session. I just made this thread to find anyone else who's applying for fall 2021. Feel free to share GPA's, HESI scores and even ask questions or give advice!

Working on getting everything done to apply for Fall 2021 Accelerated... It's my understanding that HIN 269 isn't required to apply and can be taken after admission. Can anyone speak to that? I see people are registering for it this Spring. Thanks!
Hi. you’re right, HIN269 can be taken after admission. I’m taking it this Winter only because I need to complete my 60 credits so might as well take a class that’s required later on!
Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone knows if Lehman offers Manhattan locations for their clinical sites, for people who don't live in the Bronx? I'm trying to take my commute into consideration before I apply for Lehmans program instead of yorks. I cant find out their clinical sites anywhere LOL. It would mean a lot if anyone could help.

HI,
Right now the Lehman junior nursing students are in final exams so they may do not have time to give your question.
I m not in the nursing program now but I may give some ideas.
I was accepted Generic program in 2020 but I dropped out 2 weeks before the semester started. however, I did most of the process.
Most of the clinics are in the Bronx. I was assigned to a Bronx hospital.
the problem is that you can not choose the clinical location, you can not choose the professors or time of classes. The department will assign you, you can not change! One of my friends lives in Brooklyn, but she got a clinic in the Bronx.
Good luck, I will be in the program in 2021.

Here are the rates for 2017:http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/nurse/nurseprogs-nclexrn2013-17.htm
and 2018 http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/nurse/nclexrn2018-2022.htm
Scroll down to the BSN programs. The results are not steller (but around the national average most years) and I am concerned that they did NOT let the FNP students know things were as dire as they were. Looking at the bright side though 75% do pass and nursing programs are hard to find.

Hi guys
I am applying for accelerated program at Lehman and wanted to know if anyone has already signed up for HESI exam and also if anyone knows if this mentioned book in the website actually helps {Admission Assessment Exam Review, 3rd Edition by HESI} or can I use the 4th edition of this book too? I am so nervous about this test. Haven't start preparing for it yet?
Also I heard that for accelerated program the Lehman college does not provide FINAID. Is this true??

Also in the previous thread on 2020 I read that they don't even bother to look at students below 3.7
My GPA is around 3.1, do you think, I still have a chance in this college and should go ahead? Anyone knows someone who got in despite low GPA?
I do not know if it it true about the accelerated program not providing financial aid. It is probably something you talk to the financial aid department about.
For the GPA I included the range for people who got in in the previous years.
Hey everyone! I'm so glad I found this thread. Just to touch on some topics brought up so far:
1. The process to register for the HESI exam was tough to maneuver but these instructions made it clearer. http://lehman.edu/academics/health-human-services-nursing/nursing/documents/LC-BSN-Distance-Testing-2020-2021.pdf make sure you sign up by 1/15/2021!!
2. I've been watching plenty of videos on what materials/sources were consistent with high HESI scores and for now I'm quizzing myself using Picmonic from time to time but more so Pocket Prep- its now under the name 'Nursing School'. I'm also usinng the 4th Edition of the HESI A2 exam prep 2019-2020.
here are my stats so far (I'm scheduled to take the HESI in Feb, I'll keep you all updated ?) GENERIC program
Science GPA- 3.72
Cumulative GPA- 3.88
After reading through last years thread, it looks like A&P and Critical Thinking are more important than the other subjects. So if someone has any tips on how to prep for CT, I would greatly appreciate it.
hey guys,
I had sent a request and received an email back saying that I can apply for the HESI exam early jan but it has passed the Jan 15 deadline but the link still works. I went ahead and they ask for eligibility number which I am confused? What number are they asking for can somebody help me with this?
Hello,
I don't recall seeing an "eligibility number" but an eligibility ID was created and sent to my email upon starting the registration process. I hope that helps. Someone posted all the steps above. Also, you may want to reach out to the pre-nursing advisor to see whether she has any solutions if all else fails. I was alarmed that the test is open til May but we only have until March 15th.
Best of luck dear.
