Lehman College Fall 2020 Admissions

Published

Hi!

This thread is for people who plan to apply to the Lehman nursing program of accelerated (Summer 2020) or generic (Fall 2020) Wish you all the best of luck! Let's keep us all motivated!

I also want to say I have not taken the HESI. I applied mid-April when the pandemic was at its worst in New York.

Hi guys,

I got an email today about acceptance to Lehman but nothing about nursing. Is that basically a rejection for the nursing program? I'm confused then why they would send me acceptance to Lehman instead of just a rejection for nursing.

Are you already a Lehman student ? Also did it come from the nursing dept

Hey, how did you apply? Did you apply to the school directly or through the nursing department?

also, to be considered for the program you have to be accepted to the school first. So you might have to wait for the department.

Ohhh then yeah they admitted you into the school, but because you didn’t take the HESI they didn’t send you an acceptance. But that’s weird how they didn’t just send u a rejection. You just got that email?

no but I'm already a CUNY student. the email came from Laurie Austin, Director of Admissions & Recruitment.

I’m sorry that happened. ?

But you’ll need the HESI to be considered for the program. IDK if they changed the policy, but from what I heard the HESI is a requirement

I’m sorry this pandemic has affected you. It’s really crap and messed a lot of people up.

LOL my cumulative GPA is pretty bad so I was just expecting a straight up rejection tbh so I was like huh???? when I saw that subject title in my email and then I read it and was just confused.

what should my next step be? should I contact admissions or nursing??

Honestly cumulative has little affect on your acceptance from what I’ve read in past forums. I think you should contact the office maybe through email or a faster way is to schedule a zoom meeting with a department member on the Lehman Website. Do u have any backup schools?

First you have to get accepted to Lehman college then when you are admitted, based on your grades you used to apply to the program they would send a acceptance / rejection letter, however I don’t think they are accepting students who didn’t do the HESI based on my knowledge
