Hi all. So I just meet with an advisor for the accelerated program. She told me I’d have to have at least a 2.75 overall gpa in order to be considered. I’m a little confused because I spoke to someone a while ago and was told they don’t look at your undergraduate gpa and the website says you only an 2.0 cumulative. I’m really nervous because I was banking on them only looking at my science gpa which is a 4.0 right now. My undergrad is a 2.3 ( I had a lot going on at the time).
Did anyone else get accepted to the accelerated with an overall gpa under 2.75?
Hello. I just wanted to give my two cents. I was applying for the fall 2019 semester at Lehman and I did not get in. I had all As and A- for prerequisites. Except for microbiology. I ended up with a C. My gpa was a 3.4. And my HESI admission exam I scored a 98 overall. And 980/1000 for critical thinking. My advice is for you to apply else where so you have options. I ended up having to take this semester off because I was only hoping on Lehman College. Quite disappointing. I had to end up looking into other schools. I think you need atleast above a 3.6 overall gpa to even be looked at in Lehman college. Don’t let that requirement gpa of 2.75 keep you hopeful.
Your stats are impressive!! I would say you are as good as golden for the ABSN. Did you hand in your application yet? From what I have read though varying posts it is prudent to check the generic option as well.
I have not applied to any other schools and as a result from some of the posts contained on this site I am apprehensive about having done so..... Last question, do you get the HESI results immediately after exam?
I will be sure to upload my stats.
Thanks! I’m sure you’ll do great on the HESI!
1. As soon as you finish the HESI you will receive a cumulative score, scores for all subsections, and your CT score.
2. I definitely checked off both accelerated and generic.
3. Handed my application in this past Tuesday. Be sure to sign in all places that ask for a signature! I remembered that I didn’t sign something on the second page and had to go back to campus to sign it!
4. I, too, only applied to Lehman. Fingers crossed all works well for both of us!
I just finished the Hesi! I almost did not get to sit for the exam as I brought an incorrect ID to the testing site. I had to run home, but in the end, I was able to remedy the situation. Here are my stats
Science GPA: 3.94
Hesi A2:
Stats:
Science GPA: 3.94
Hesi A2: 93.33%
CT: 910
Hoping for accelerated acceptance!
Hey AspiringNP,
Your stats are fabulous! Congrats on jumping over the last hurdle before submitting your application! Awesome CT score! Good luck assembling the rest of the application. I forgot to sign one of the sections on the second page and had to go back to Lehman to sign it. lol. Have you taken HIN 268 and HIN 269?
