Lehman college 2016 admittance

I am applying to Lehman College's nursing program for this upcoming August and was wondering what my chances were. I just took my HESI exam and did pretty terribly on the Critical Thinking section (780). The other portions, I did fairly well. Math (98%), Reading (88%), and Anatomy (88%). My pre-req GPA is a 3.74. My overall GPA is close to a 3.5. I was wondering what my chances were with the 2 year program. One of the faculty told me that the critical thinking score was pretty low, but I should apply anyway. Do I have any shot at getting in? Thanks.

Hi everyone, I need whatever opinions you guys have. I have been waiting on my acceptance letter From LEHMAN NURSING but it turns out it had already been sent since the 1st of June through my email.I was told that it would be mailed to my home address. Either,i don't know how i missed it. In the letter, it says to fill out a form and return within 10 days to make known my intent to attend. Well, It's already the 17th, do you think my acceptance is still valid or not? Please I'M CURRENTLY PANICKING! HOW COULD I HAVE LET THIS HAPPEN? Whatever help/advice is appreciated

Yes I'm sure your acceptance is still valid. I hope you filled out the acceptance form as soon as you found out and gave it in to the department. You could have also emailed the person whose email the acceptance came from to let her know the issue. You could also fax it but giving it in in person is preferable. Make sure you make a copy of EVERYTHING you give in to the department because they have a tendency of losing things. Hope everything works out great for you!

Thanks so much JulesOb, I emailed the person as soon as i saw my letter. I also stopped at the department earlier today, although i knew they wouldn't be open on Fridays. I'm currently working on faxing the letter as well. Thanks so much, your comment made me feel much better.

I didn't receive any word yet, but I called the nursing department, and the lady said we should receive it sometime between this week and the end of June. Hopefully we get the decision next week.

You're welcome User234! Just have a few questions to verify your acceptance email is valid. Did it run along the lines of "congrats generic program applicant... Congratulations and welcome to Fall 2016 Generic Baccalaureate Nursing Program..." If it also included an attached admission letter form the chair of the nursing department, a confirmation form on whether you accept or decline your seat and a "Department of Nursing Lehman College" logo at the top of the letter then it's a legit acceptance and you have nothing to worry about!

I havent received a notification yet either. Is it the office 365 email they send it to? I was thinking of visiting the office today to see if I can check with them if Ive been denied or not. But i really think i got in. I remember handing in a transcript of a class i was taking spring 2016, and I handed it many days before the June 1st deadline for any class taken out of Lehman. The lady said she would update my information with the transcript for me! I hope she really did update it lol thats the only thing Im really nervous about not getting in í ½í¸ anyways hope we all make it :)
