Hello! I live far away from Allentown, PA, like the other side of the coast, FAR! Recently, I was invited for Lehigh Valley's group interview. It's stated that it'll be 3 hours long, I'm wondering what could the interview entail for it to be so long. Most I have been to only lasted maximum an hour and a half, and the interview part was only 20-30 minutes.
And, how does the choosing the unit work? Do they pick you, or are you bidding for units, like you do in a sorority? If you end up not getting picked by the one you want, and not choosing the one that wants you...does that mean you won't get a job offer?
And lastly, is it a one-time interview, or will there be follow-up interviews?
I'm interested in the critical care residency at LVH. Does anyone know how I can apply for that? I have about 3 years experience in med surg cardiac tele and want to eventually work in a cardiac ICU.
I checked at one point and I think they list their residency here

Thanks. I'll keep checking every so often. In the meantime, I did email their HR for more info.

Hello Everyone,
I'm hoping someone who works or has previously worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital can help me. So I applied into the critical care nurse residency program but I was offered a med/surg position. They said this was because they did not have any more slots open in the critical care residency for November start date. I really want to end up in the ICU and I'm wondering how soon can I transfer. On average that is.....Is anyone familiar with this process? They said my training for med/surg will be 10-12 weeks total.
