Legal risk management analyst? Anyone know of this position?

Published

Specializes in pediatric, cardiology.

I've been an RN for 8 years (peds for 7), on a telemetry unit and am interested in switching positions. I have not found very much information on this type of position, and will be visiting HR to find out more. I appreciate any comments, thoughts, etc, that anyone can give me. Thanks to all!!!

I've posted the job description from our website below:

Under the supervision of the Senior VP of Legal Services, is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of an effective risk management program through the identification, evaluation and reduction of risks and/or potential risks to patients and staff. Assists the attorneys in the management of liability exposure and evaluation, and reduction of risks and/or potential risks to patients and staff. Assists in the management of liability exposure and, in coordination with legal counsel, develops loss prevention programs in the area of professional liability, general liability and worker's compensation through the analysis of generic and clinical data, communication of corrective action plans and reports to professional, managerial and executive staff.

I just saw this, sorry no one posted sooner. This looks like a position where you would need some backround in Risk Management. Is it with an insurance company?

This post might be better suited for a different forum.
