Legal Review? Applying for RN license with criminal history

Published

Hi has anyone been told their application is under “legal review”? If so how long did the process take and what was the outcome. I’ve already passed NCLEX, submitted all documents pertaining to the arrest but the board has no answers for me other than it’s under legal review. Of course they don’t explain anything other than that. So if anyone has any experience with this please chime in.

It’s been three years for me but I had to get stipulated on my lpn first and now my RN is under review since feb

I have a sealed record and I am wondering about the process. I am waiting to hear back. I only have an arrest with no conviction but its being reviewed. How long will this process take? I applied for my RN authroization to test October 10th and its still shows as pending

I'm going through this now. Any updates or advice?

One thing about the board is that they take their slow time. I've been waiting for my RN license since 2019 but they didn't start the reviewing until feb 2022 and I have not heard anything since then

OMG these times are scarring me... I somehow marked the "plead the fifth" question wrong and am currently awaiting for them to approve my explination letter. I submitted all paperwork on 01/03 and passes my NCLEX on 01/31.... I've heard that a year is not uncommon at all.

The timeline depends on what you did, how long it's been since you did it, if you re-offended, how accurate you explained and the state. The shortest I've seen for license approval is 30 days the longest is a couple years. Average is about 90days
