Yay! One more added to the chat. Welcome! Lee will accept hesi scores if taken at another school but if you haven't taken it yet, they want you to turn in your application then they call each student to come in to test. Have they contacted you yet to test? I am taking my test in two weeks.
They're really slow with the accepting process...I wouldn't look for them to call until probably July! Hang in there. For transition, it took forever and then they called us to come test like in a weeks notice, and then test again, and then maybe called us a week or 2 later to invite into the program. Transitions star in October and I want to say this was at the end of August when we were testing. Be ready to get a physical and all your titers.
Yay! I finally found a post about the Fall 2016 ADN program at Lee! I have been searching for hours, trying to find others with the same questions as myself lol. I was up there last week to turn in my blue card, and they seemed really unorganized, so it has me anxious. I took my Hesi at another school, so she said when I am called I would just have to pay for the HESI and take only the critical thinking portion because it wasn't included on the first one I took. Who has friends or family that have been through the application process? Any idea of ideal scores, GPA's and whatever other criteria gives you a decent chance? I'm on the alternate list for Lone Star but that is an hour drive, instead of 5 minutes! I already have my core curriculum complete, a 3.45 GPA, my Hesi average was an 88 and I scored a 98 on the Math portion, and I have an Associates in Arts degree. I'm taking Pharmacology this summer, but I don't think there is much else I can do to help my chance. Advice? Gossip? Rumors? Anything?!
Hi hopeful100 :)
my my best friend is a recent graduate and I have another friend who is in her last semester. They all did extremely well in the program and agreed that the initial process and wait was long but once that was out of the way it's smooth sailing! I have received acceptance from two local schools and like yourself Lee is closer to home but I can't continue to wait to hear whether I got in or not I think with you associates and core classes out of the way you will have no problem getting in. And the fact that most schools have already made their decisions and we had a certain deadline period to respond weeds out even more applicants for you to get in at Lee. If you want me to ask friends any questions please inquire, any help along the way will hopefully ease your mind a bit :)
